Along the lake Gärdsken, Alingsås a new distinct city front in the shape of a boardwalk and new dwellings is created. The meeting between nature and city is central in all parts of the project and the landscape is recreated to preserve the important biotope of the lake. Along the boardwalk, three public places with diverse character, in close approximation to the lake, creates new qualitative spaces for the residents of Alingsås. A new gathering spot in the form of a pier with triangular shapes is provided in the Coffee shop square. In the Pocket park it is possible to find your own place for resting in a green and lush environment with a plant variety that catch interest all year around. The Activity park is a place mostly directed to youths but the park is also a quality for the residents in the area. In relation to its surroundings the park is slightly sunken with a stair that can be used as seating. It creates a bench for spectators who just want to observe things happening. The wall against the parking ramp is dotted with grips for climbing. The whole place has a distinct color scheme associated with the sports theme and the triangular shapes.

The shoreline contains sections with naturalistic character where reeds and alder trees dominate. With the boardwalk and its small public places, an alternative path along the shoreline is provided where intense nature experiences around the lake and the creek is possible.
