In accordance with the development of Kvillebäcken an enclosed food market is to be built. The proposal shows the new market place and it’s relation with the connecting square area.

The idea is to create a coherent floor which runs through the covered market, this approach creates a feeling of a bigger public scene. The pattern of the floor creates a matrix inspired by the form of the surrounding areas. The new building volume creates a soft edge between indoor and outdoor shopping. The simple yet strict geometry is cut by two rocklike building volumes. One of them gives an introspective character which serves different basic functions and installments. The other one has an open feeling and creates a spacious and illuminated room.

The proposal was awarded with 2nd prize.
