Västermalms Atrium is a residential project located in the new north west city area of Kungsholmen.  The residential quarter Västermalms Atrium deal with big differences in altitude and include a preschool at the court yard. The new design takes care of the big differences in altitude that occur here. Patterns which can be seen from the apartments control the different activities. The boundaries of the pattern take the form of terraces and take care of the differences in altitude.  The altitudes between the preschool yard and its roofs yard it´s used to get fun playing areas and are in same time a construction of steps and ramps. The materials are selected on the basis of the hard wear that will occur here and will accentuate the macro pattern. The materials occur in bigger coherent areas to divide activities.
