Buildings from varying eras surrounding older park trees depict the institutional Sabbatbergs area. Prior to the transformation, the area was characterized by docking areas, parking and access roads. The essence of this project is to maintain the architectural history and develop the character of antique buildings in a park environment. This is achieved by minimizing the paved surfaces and adding a large grass creating a coherent surface between the buildings. Landscaping of substantial slopes has created a cohesive park character. Courtyards are illuminated with paved friezes in a common theme. The finishing touch is a walkway with granite steps depressed in the lawn, connecting the old poorhouse and the old house of Katarina.

Architects: Anders Kling and Anders Falk. The project was implemented during employment for Grontmij AB. Client: City of Stockholm. Project: program and consulting drawing. Built: 2010.
